Born in Southern California in 1972, Edward is the third of three children of Italian immigrant parents. He was exposed at an early age to the visual arts and architecture through his parents and extended family.
Edward learned the art of hand sketching from his mother, who had been a fashion designer in Milan, Italy under a well-reputed design label. Hand sketching of various object types morphed into sketching facades of homes. As a teen, he discovered the joy of making home movies with a camcorder, which were frequently elaborate.
Touring homes and buildings that were construction projects of his father and grandfather, Edward became familiar with the art of crafting spaces and the nuts and bolts that enclose them. He furthered his knowledge by obtaining a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture and a Master’s degree in Real Estate Development.
He has been balancing his interests and productivity in art and architecture for several decades, and enjoys creating unique works in a variety of media and disciplines.
Architecture
The art of the built environment is better known as architecture. Using 3D software, Edward designs projects for himself, clients, and friends.
This portfolio includes select images from built and unbuilt projects.
Cinematography
With roots in home movies with a camcorder, Edward now uses digital media for video production.
The featured project is an animated short / pilot episode called Hybrid Brad.
Dynamic Art
The term “dynamic” implies movement. By allowing for interactivity, dynamic art engages with the viewer who manipulates the movable components.
The works in this collection are created with a variety of media and in some cases use tile designs that were officially licensed for use as carpet tile floor covering.
Static Art
The term “static” implies a motionless state, which is the state in which most physical art resides. In general, paintings tend not to have any moving parts.
